Mains Treat Coffeehouse (Utica)

Mains Treat Coffeehouse was crowded and loud when I was there. It was a Sunday morning, which is probably the worst possible time to judge how busy a place normally is, but it still shaped the experience. The space itself is nice and a little on the fancy side, with a good mix of tables and lounge-style seating.

I ordered a banana bread latte, which cost $7.00. The drink was really good, but the price felt a little high.

Despite the crowd, the seating options were decent. It does feel like a place that could be comfortable under the right conditions. The issue was less the layout and more the volume and energy of a packed brunch-time crowd.

Would I stay for a second cup?
I’m not sure. If I could catch it at a quieter time, maybe in the evening or outside of peak hours, I could see myself staying for another drink. The price does give me pause, though, and it would have to feel worth settling in for.
